Hi, everyone! This is Yoniiz! The third artist I’m introducing is the K-POP Artist ROSÉ.
She’s nothing short of a K-POP queen, so let’s dive in and get to know her!

Who is ROSÉ?
You all know K-pop Artist ROSÉ, right? But I’ll tell you just in case there are people who don’t.Rosé is a member of BLACKPINK and her real name is Park Chaeyoung (Park Rose Park in English).Fans call her “Chaeyoung” or “Rochang.”
She is also Saint Laurent’s muse. She has a very slim body but is also charismatic, making her more attractive.
I think Saint Laurent saw that in her, too.Then there’s her iconic blonde hair. Honestly, I’ve never seen a Korean artist pull off blonde hair as perfectly as Rosé.
Whatever she does, it just becomes hers.

일단 로제 모르는 사람 없겠죠? 그래도 혹시 모르는 사람 있을까 봐 알려줄게요. 로제(ROSÉ)는 블랙핑크(BLACKPINK) 멤버 중 한 명으로 본명은 박채영, 영어 이름은 Roseanne Park.입니다.
팬들은 “채영이”, “로챙이” 이렇게도 불러요.
블랙핑크 하면 파워풀한 퍼포먼스로 찢고 다니는 걸로 유명하잖아요. 그 안에서도 로제는 독보적인 음색으로 첫 소절에 사람들 마음을 끌어들여요. 노래만 들어도 “이거 로제다!” 하고 알 정도니까요.
생로랑의 뮤즈인 그녀는 여리여리한 몸매지만 카리스마가 있어 더 매력적인데 그런 모습을 브랜드 생로랑이 알아본 게 아닌가 싶어요. 또한 그녀의 금발도 정말 유명한데요.
한국 아티스트 중에 그렇게 금발 머리가 잘 어울리는 가수는 처음봤어요. 로제가 하는 모든 것은 곧 로제의 것이 돼요.
From AUS to Korea (AUS에서 한국까지)
But Rosé didn’t grow up in Korea. She was born on Feb. 11, 1997, in New Zealand and grew up in Melbourne, Australia.She has loved singing, playing the piano, and playing the guitar since she was young.
Her parents also liked music, so they naturally fell in love with it. Then, in 2012, I passed the YG Entertainment audition. You Know What? I won first place. I heard that the contest was amazing.
However, he was selected and immediately flew to Korea to begin training.It was hard to be alone in her new country, but she made it. And finally in 2016, she made her debut as BLACKPINK.
YG knew right away that her voice was special.
근데 로제가 원래부터 한국에서 자랐던 건 아니예요. 1997년 2월 11일에 뉴질랜드에서 태어나서 호주 멜버른에서 자랐어요. 어릴 때부터 노래 부르고 피아노, 기타 치는 거 좋아했다고 해요. 부모님도 음악을 좋아하셔서 자연스럽게 음악에 빠져든 거겠죠.
그렇게 살다가 2012년 YG엔터테인먼트 오디션에 나갔는데, 1등을 했어요.
와… 그때 경쟁률 장난 아니었다는데. 근데 거기서 뽑혀서 바로 한국으로 와서 연습생 생활 시작했어요.
낯선 나라에서 혼자 연습하면서 힘든 시간도 많았다는데, 결국 2016년 블랙핑크 데뷔하면서 다 꽃피운 거 같아요. 그녀의 독보적인 음색과 가창력을 YG에서는 한 눈에 알아본거죠.
That Voice (그 목소리)
If you’ve ever heard ROSÉ sing, you know what I’m talking about. That voice – a bit husky, super emotional – it just hits differently.
All four BLACKPINK members have amazing voices, but I feel like ROSÉ’s voice really held everything together.
When she sings a sad song, you feel it.
When it’s an upbeat song, she lifts you right up with her. That’s why fans say, “ROSÉ’s voice touches your heart.” Songs like ‘Stay’ and ‘Lovesick Girls’ really show off her unique sound.

로제 노래 들어봤으면 알 거예요, 그 목소리 있잖아요, 약간 허스키하면서도 감성 터지는 그 느낌! 이게 진짜 로제만의 매력 포인트거든요.
블랙핑크는 4명 모두 음색이 좋지만 그 중에서도 노래의 중심을 잡아주는 목소리는 로제였다고 생각해요.
슬픈 노래 부르면 애절하게 만들고, 신나는 곡 부르면 또 같이 완전 업되버려요. 그래서 팬들 사이에서는 “로제 목소리는 사람 마음 건드린다”는 말이 있을 정도예요,
대표적으로 ‘Stay’, ‘Lovesick Girls’들이 로제를 잘 드러내는 곡입니다.
Solo = Hit (솔로는 곧 히트)
BLACKPINK was already huge, but when ROSÉ went solo? That was something else. In 2021, she dropped her solo album [R], with songs like ‘On The Ground’ and ‘Gone’.
‘On The Ground’ is all in English, and it’s about reflecting on life and finding yourself. The music video was stunning, and the lyrics really hit home. It felt like a song that was so ROSÉ.
Then in 2024, she dropped another album called ROSÉ, and it was a global hit.Especially the song ‘APT’ – it was everywhere on social media. The song’s super catchy, and the music video was so unique.
A lot of people totally fell for her charm after that. Personally, I loved every song on this album.But if I had to pick my top 3, they’d be:
• toxic till the end
• two years
• not the same
Oh, and recently, she was on a Korean music show and sang Bruno Mars’ ‘Too Good to Say Goodbye’. Her voice? Literally heavenly.
I just hope she keeps releasing music more often!
블랙핑크 활동도 대단했지만, 로제가 솔로로 나왔을 때 진짜 난리 났었잖아요,2021년에 솔로 앨범 [R]을 냈는데,
여기서 나온 곡이 ‘On The Ground’랑 ‘Gone’이예요, ‘On The Ground’는 영어 가사로 된 곡인데, 인생에 대한 고민과 자아 찾는 이야기예요,
뮤비도 멋있고, 가사도 진짜 와닿아서 팬들을 많이 울렸어요. 뭔가 진짜 로제다운 노래였다고 생각해요.

그리고서 2024년에 발표한 앨범 로제(ROSÉ)로 세계적으로 많은 사람들에게 그녀를 각인시켜버렸죠.
APT라는 곡은 SNS 여기저기에서 흘러나올 정도로 유행어처럼 퍼진 노래였어요. 노래도 정말 재밌지만 뮤직비디오도 굉장히 유니크했거든요. 진짜 귀엽고 사랑스러운 그녀의 매력에 빠져든 사람이 정말 많아요.
이번 앨범곡은 개인적으로 모든 곡이 정말 다 좋은데 그 중에서도 베스트를 뽑아보자면,toxic till the end, two years, not the same 이 곡을 정말 좋아했어요.
로제가 이렇게 다재다능한지 알았지만 정말 그 이상의 아티스트라는 것을 새삼 깨달았죠.
거기다가 최근 한국 음악프로그램에 나와서 브루노마스의 곡인 Too Good to Say Goodbye 라는 노래를 불렀는데 진짜 그녀의 목소리는 신이예요.. 자주 그녀가 앨범을 내줬으면 좋겠어요.

ROSÉ Feels (로제 감성)
ROSÉ is more than just a great singer but a person who conveys his or her feelings.
I think that’s why she likes it. Whether it’s on stage or in her daily life, Rosé is a very honest and natural person. She communicates with her fans often and can see that her love for music is great.
When you watch a video of him playing the guitar and making his own songs, you realize that music is his life. And she really enjoys music.
Seeing Rosé smile brightly makes viewers happy, too. This is why fans think of her as a comfortable life friend, not just a star.

로제는 그냥 노래 잘하는 가수를 넘어서, 뭔가 진심이 느껴지는 사람이예요.
팬들이 좋아해주는 이유도 그거 같아요. 무대 위에서든, 일상에서든 로제는 되게 솔직하고 자연스러워요. 팬들이랑 소통도 자주 하고, 음악에 대한 사랑이 진짜 크다는 게 보여요.
기타 치면서 자작곡 만드는 영상 보면, 아 이 사람은 진짜 음악이 삶이구나 싶어요.
그리고 그녀는 진짜로 음악을 즐기는 사람이예요. 해맑게 웃고 있는 그녀를 보고있으면 보는 사람들도 행복해져요. 그래서 팬들은 로제를 그냥 스타가 아니라, 인생에 위로가 되는 친구 같은 존재로 여기는 것 같아요.ㅎㅎ
